Summer is here, and although we might not be feeling it just yet, the introduction of Citroen’s new C4 Cactus Rip Curl will certainly get us in the mood! In the true spirit of summer, Citroen has brought out a special edition of its award winning SUV.
On sale from 1 June 2016, the new Citroen C4 Cactus Rip Curl Special Edition comes with a host of exciting styling elements to illustrate its adventurous character and introduces Grip Control to the C4 cactus range for the very first time.
Citroen and world famous surf brand Rip Curl have joined forces to create the new Special Edition model which is sure to turn heads wherever you go. Some of the fun features include Rip Curl graphics on the wings and rear quarter-lights, white roof rails and door mirrors, orange seat belts and orange-trimmed carpet mats.
Grip Control has been introduced to the latest C4 Cactus, and intelligent traction system which allows drivers to select different modes to deal with different surfaces encountered as part of an adventurous outdoor lifestyle, such as snow, mud and sand. In addition, the Rip Curl Special Edition features 17 inch diamond cut ‘Cross’ alloy wheels with 4 seasons mud and snow tyres.
The C4 Cactus Rip Curl Special Edition comes with a choice of two engines, the award-winning PureTech 110 S&S and the Blue HDi 100. Both models come with a manual gearbox and produce CO2 emissions of 100g/km and 95g/km respectively. The PureTech 110 S&S is priced from £18,480 while the BlueHDi 100 manual starts at £19,210.
Additional features of the Special Edition include a panoramic glass roof as standard and five striking body colours to choose from – Obsidian Black (metallic), Arctic Steel (metallic), Pearl White (pearlescent), Sport Red and Tapenade Grey. All versions also come complete with Citroën’s innovative Airbump® technology, which is designed to avoid scrapes and scratches to the bodywork.
Standard equipment also includes alumnium-effect front and rear bumper protectors, rear parking sensors, a colour reversing camera, automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights and wipers, satellite navigation, a 6-speaker MP3 audio system, a cruise control/speed limiter and tinted rear windows.
