The new model comes alongside MINI’s latest plug-in hybrid, the MINI Cooper S E Countryman ALL 4, which is the first ever plug-in MINI offering driver’s the flexibility of an electrically charged car combined with a petrol motor, to maximise on fuel economy, whilst not compromising performance.
Reflecting customer demand for high-end features, equipment in the Countryman is high and features such as Satellite Navigation, Bluetooth, Cruise Control and Emergency E-Call and Active Guard are just some of the features included as standard on all models. Furthermore, there’s an opportunity for customers to personalise their new Countryman even further with extensive colour and trim options, advanced technology features and a range of option packs.
An electronic tailgate along with touch-free opening and closing of the tailgate makes getting luggage, buggies, golf clubs or pets in and out of the boot far easier. Also included with
the MINI Countryman are options such as the MINI Picnic-Bench, a foldout loading sill cushion on the luggage compartment lid for outdoor use, both of which add to MINI’s unique ownership experience.
The style of the new MINI Countryman makes it increasingly apparent that the Countryman’s on and off-road capability remains second to none. As well as the plug-in hybrid model, the MINI Countryman line-up is powered by an all-new range of engines sourced from the latest MINI TwinPower Turbo generation, offering outstanding performance and efficiency. With between 136 – 192 hp and 220-400 Nm of torque, the new MINI Countryman can sprint from 0-62 mph in as little as 7.2 seconds, while fuel consumption reaches 64.2 mpg and CO2 emissions drop as low as 113 g/km.
The new MINI Countryman is available with both manual and Steptronic gearboxes and with front- and all-wheel drive. MINI’s ALL4 system, has been further refined for increased driving agility and efficiency.
The new MINI Countryman is available to order at MINI retailers nationwide today starting at £22,465 for the Cooper Countryman, with the first UK deliveries in February 2017. Prices for the plug-in hybrid model will be announced in due course.
