JCT600 Go the extra mile for charityBack

JCT 600JCT600’s board of Directors are continuing their long and proud history of supporting charity as they get in training to undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks on the 12th May. In previous years, the company have elected a charity of choice – including Macmillan Cancer and Help for Heroes.

This year, the company are roping in 100 of their colleagues to take part in the event as a team building exercise, while leaving participants to raise funds for whichever charitable cause they choose.

Group Digital Marketing Manager Charlotte Murray explained her own choice of charity to us:

“At first I was simply going to do this as a personal goal – but over recent weeks, as my training programme has evolved, it seemed to become more pertinent that I raise funds for a charity and so, for personal reasons, I have chosen to raise money for Brain Tumour Research and Support.

Nationally, less than 1% of all the funds raised for research into cancer is devoted to brain tumour research, yet brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of our children and more people under the age of 40 die from brain tumours than from any other cancer.

To find out more about the challenge itself and why I’m fundraising for this charity, please visit my Just Giving page Any donation, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated as it helps me to reach my target. You can sponsor online or by texting my code, VUYR81 plus an amount to 70070. For example, to donate £1 simply text VUYR81 £1.”

We here at Trusted Dealers have more than our fair share of experience of the horrors of brain tumours, with Search and Ops Manager Paul Carpenter having undergone his own brush with the condition last year, so on a very personal note we wish Charlotte and all the guys from JCT600 all the best for their efforts for this and the other great causes they have chosen to support individually.
