Cars for the tennis starsBack

190613 Cars for tennis starsWimbledon is about to begin and as the world’s top seeds get ready to take each other on, Trusted Dealers has had a look at what they might be driving to make that all important journey to the tennis courts.

Andy Murray is of course the man we’ll be rooting for this tournament. Not only is he the British number one male tennis player, he is also the World No. 2. Having lost in the final against Djokovic in Wimbledon 2012, he’ll be keen to gain the winning title this year, and we’ll all be behind him!

Over the past few years, the 27 year old tennis player has earned millions in prize money so the cost of a car is unlikely to worry him, although he did make comment on the Ferrari which he drove in 2008, saying it was ‘too flash’ and that he’d get beeped just for getting out of the car. More recently, he’s been spotted driving a Jaguar XKR-S Convertible which sports the most powerful Jaguar drop-top ever and costs within the region of £103,000! It’s the most powerful and fastest open topped production car that Jaguar has ever built and will no doubt provide him with the speed he seeks in order to win the match.

The next player we’ll all have our eyes on is the ever-talented Novak Djokovic, a Serbian tennis player who is currently ranked World No.1. He is considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time and with this in mind, he truly does deserve the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster we’ve spotted him driving around in recently. The Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster is a striking supercar which offers brutal performance and grip that can only be matched by a player with such calibre as Djokovic! The V8 engine coupled with the soft top lets you really enjoy its roaring engine – lets hope it is matched by the roaring crowds next week!

Cars for starsRafael Nadal might only be World No.5 this year (which is no mean achievement), but we’re still rooting for the famous former World No.1 tennis professional whose game has been marred by injury in recent years. Referred to as the King of Clay, due to his phenominal success on the clay court, like Djokovic he is considered one of the greatest tennis players of his era. When he’s not on the court, Nadal enjoys cruising about Spain in nothing more than an Aston Martin DBS, made famous for its long-standing presence in the highly popular James Bond films. There is no doubt you’ll feel like a filmstar when you get behind the wheel of this awesome car that’s V12 engine enough pace and stamina to even keep up with the likes of Nadal!

Serena Williams is the World No.1 women’s tennis player and America’s sweetheart. Taking up the sport from a very early age, it is her stamina and sheer determination that has got Serena to the place she is now. But although she is at the top, she doesn’t feel the need for a flashy, sporty model when it comes to her choice of car and prefers the prestige and image of the beautiful and sleek Bentley Continental GT. Like Serena, the Bentley has a mental and physical strength providing effortless pace and serenity.

Tennis starsOur World No.2 women tennis player this year is the hot favourite Victoria Azarenka who was runner up for the Wimbledon cup last year and has since enjoyed success winning the Australian Open in 2012 and 2013. She is a Belarusian tennis player and Olympic gold medallist and is well known for the loud grunting noise she makes when hitting the ball, which might explain why she enjoys the growl of the Porsche Boxster. Like Victoria, it’s not only beautiful to look at but it’s suitably epic to drive and has the ability to keep even the biggest of female tennis starts happy thanks to its incredible speed.
