Continuous expansion brings motoring recruitment driveBack

Arnold100 vehicle technician places set to boost Scottish motor industry

Arnold Clark is looking to recruit 100 light vehicle technicians, primarily within the central belt of Scotland.

Europe’s largest independently owned, family-run car dealer has begun hiring 100 skilled and semi-skilled technicians looking for a new challenge.

The drive comes in the wake of the news that 2.47 million new cars were registered in the UK last year, a 9% increase in UK new car sales. An improved economic climate has seen a rise in used car sales too; the Company reported an increase of almost 17% in its 60th year.

Eddie Hawthorne, Arnold Clark Managing Director said: ‘The continuous growth of the business has meant opportunities have opened up for 100 light vehicle technicians to help keep our customers on the road.’ He added: ‘With great career development opportunities and one of the best packages in the industry, we are expecting a huge number of applicants.’

The Group sells cars from 24 different new car manufacturers including Mercedes, BMW, Chrysler and Volkswagen, providing technicians the opportunity to work on a range of vehicles.

Arnold Clark offers one of the best employment packages in the industry with a multitude of benefits such as flexible working hours including weekends, as well as career development opportunities.

Arnold Clark is Europe’s biggest independently owned, family-run car dealer, with 200 dealerships, 130 service centres, 40 accident repair centres and 13 parts centres across the UK.
