Introducing the new Fiat 500XBack

Fiat500XThis week, the all-new Fiat 500X made its world debut in Paris at the 2014 Paris International Show. It comes in two versions, one is more suited to those who lead a fun-loving, city lifestyle, whilst the other sports a more rugged design and is geared towards more active adventurers.

The new Fiat 500X is a crossover car, and with two versions on offer, Fiat claim there is a style to suit a customer’s every need. The 500X comes with a choice of 12 different body colours, 8 designs and 16, 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels, meaning customers can easily personalise the look of their new 500X car very easily.

The 500X has a wide range of four petrol and three diesel engines and a choice of transmissions and drivetrain configurations to include a nine-speed automatic gearbox – the first in a Fiat vehicle. The new transmission includes a four-wheel drive system that can seamlessly switch between two- and four-wheel drive without requiring input from the driver.

In keeping with Fiat’s aim to make the new 500X a bespoke car, the driving experience can be adapted depending on how its driven and the impending driving conditions. Every car contains a ‘Drive Mood Selector” which has three different modes for engine, brakes, steering and gearbox/transmission settings. ‘Auto’ is geared towards comfort, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while ‘Sport’ offers better performance and handling. ‘All Weather’ adjusts the vehicle settings for maximum safety even in low grip conditions. The rugged version of the Fiat 500X replaces ‘All Weather’ mode with a ‘Traction’ function. The FIAT 500X also offers eco:Driveâ„¢, which can help reduce emissions and fuel costs by up to 16 percent.

Fiat500X1The latest active safety systems available with the new 500X include front headlights with DRLs; front fog lights with adaptive cornering; sophisticated ESC (Electronic Stability Control); Lane Assist (lane departure warning system) and Blind Spot Assist (lane change assistance system). A ParkView reversing camera is also available as well as a “Brake Control” assisted braking system.

The new 500X is compact on the outside measuring just 4.25 metres in length, whilst internally it offers a spacious and inviting cabin, with high-grade materials, top-quality finishes and practical storage compartments including a spacious 350 litre boot. The seats are fully adjustable and buyers can choose from no less than seven different interior fabric, leather and colour configurations. Furthermore, the Fiat 500X offers a new 5.0 or 6.5 inch Uconnectâ„¢ colour touchscreen infotainment system featuring Bluetooth, aux-in and USB connectivity, both of which can be operated via steering wheel remote controls and voice commands. DAB and a Beats Hi-Fi system are also available.

The new FIAT 500X will go on sale in the UK in the second quarter of 2015. Final specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the launch. Check out our website to benefit from some excellent deals on new and used Fiat 500 cars.
