Going on holiday this summer? Well if you’re thinking about embarking on a camping trip during the holidays, MINI might just have the answer to all your campervan dreams.
In keeping with the theme of summer holidays, MINI has revealed its latest three concept cars which are all based on campervans.
Introducing the MINI Clubvan Camper which offers room to sleep one adult, this nifty little campervan offers all of the basics you’ll need for a successful camping trip, providing you like to travel solo!
The Clubvan Camper provides a camper with a small kitchenette, a stove and a fridge as well as a hand-held shower which is attached to a water tank housed underneath the floor. You can bed down for the night actually inside the MINI Clubvan which comes with its very own branded duvet, pillow and even a cuddly toy!
The second new MINI concept is the MINI Cowley which is a MINI that comes with a compact caravan ideal for two people, and is described by MINI as adhering to the philosophy of ‘maximum touring pleasure with minimal footprint’.
The Cowley caravan weighs less than 300kg in total and has room to squeeze in two people in its small sleeping compartment which also features a two-burner stove and a small fridge.
Finally, there is the option of a Countryman Camp which offers two lucky campers the use of a roof-top tent. Thanks to its four-wheel drive transmission, the Countryman Camp is the perfect partner for heading off the beaten track says MINI. The Countryman Camp also features a bike rack for the full ‘lifestyle’ effect.
MINI describes its camping concepts as providing ‘a choice of premium home-from-home options for the enthusiastic traveller’. At present, all of the three campers are concept cars only, with no plans to put them into production at this stage. They have been created ‘to showcase the depth of the MINI range, as well as the creativity and skill within the company’s design and engineering staff’.
