Peugeot releases images for its all-new Peugeot 308Back

140513 New Peugeot 308Leading car manufacturer Peugeot has just released the first official images of the new compact Peugeot 308 family hatchback.

The new Peugeot 308 has been launched to compete against other cars within the highly popular family hatchback sector and it is believed that its striking and contemporary design will be one of the elements which will attract a number of new customers once it is released.

Step inside the cabin of the new Peugeot 308 and you’ll discover an interior which is refined and completely original. It has been developed around the concept of the i-cockpit with everything arrange for an experience that is “intuitive, relaxing the driver to focus entirely on the road ahead.”

The cabin is also generously spaced and offers a 9.7-inch touch-screen interface which removes the necessity for lots of buttons and switches – all of your infotainment can be controlled by the one system maximising ease of use and keeping the cabin nicely uncluttered too.

To drive, the new Peugeot 308 has been enhanced by a new EMP2 modular platform which contributes towards the ease of handling, sharp steering and good suspension, and makes for an outstanding and dynamic driving experience.

Development of this new PSA Group architecture has played a key role in the car’s considerable weight reduction, by an average of 140kg compared to the current generation Peugeot 308. This has lead to significant reductions in CO2 emissions, and as a result, the new Peugeot 308 establishes an environmental benchmark, with one model offering CO2 emissions as low as 85g/km.

The New Peugeot 308 has been produced alongside new models such as the Peugeot 208 and the Peugeot 2008 to illustrate the brand’s move up-market and this latest model demonstrates the highest level of quality and refinement both inside and out.

The New Peugeot 308 will come with a range of highly efficient petrol and diesel engines for enhanced driving and will be built at the Sochaux plant in France. It will make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10th September 2013, when further information about this innovative new model will be released. Sales will start shortly afterwards in mainland Europe and from January 2014 in the UK.
