Shell confirmed as BMW’s recommended oil supplierBack

ShellShell Premium engine and motorcycle oils have been confirmed as the supplier for BMW service-fills in more than 140 countries across the globe.

Shell, a sponsor of Trusted Dealers, have announced this month that they have been chosen by BMW AG to be its only recommended global supplier for aftermarket engine oils for a number of BMW brands.

From January 2015, premium engine oils manufactured by Shell will be supplied to BMW, BMW i, BMW M, MINI and BMW Motorrad and will be made available to customers at BMW’s global network of more than 3,500 dealers across the world to include China, Germany, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, the UK and the USA.

The partnership enables Shell to produce and supply BMW’s branded engine oils which will meet the latest BMW engine specifications and will be underpinned by Shell’s PurePlus Technology. Shell PurePlus Technology is a patented gas-to-liquid (GTL) process, developed over 40 years of research, which converts natural gas into a crystal-clear base oil.
