Top five convertibles for winterBack

PorscheBoxsterIt might seem like the wrong time of year to be considering buying a convertible car, but this season is in fact one of the very best times to grab a bargain on a soft-top.

With many people focussing on purchasing cars to combat the winter weather such as 4×4 cars and crossovers, there are plenty of deals to be had on new and used convertible cars. With this in mind, Trusted Dealers has picked their top five convertibles to see in that winter sun in style!

Mazda MX-5: Available from £3999 (used)

The Mazda MX-5 is the perfect all-rounder when it comes to purchasing a convertible car. There are plenty of different models to suit all budgets, and to drive, the MX-5’s rear wheel handling is highly reliable. Not only is the MX-5 a stylish and fun car, it’s got a great-looking cabin and comes with plenty of equipment as standard. Used models come at highly competitive prices but there is a wide range to choose from so make sure you shop around.

Fiat 500C: Available from £5,499 (used)

We love the Fiat 500C for its quirky looks and fun personality. Taken from the ever-popular Fiat 500, the convertible model does nothing to disappoint. It’s fun, it’s Italian and for those people who like the reassurance of a warranty, you can get a brand new model for less than £15,000. As convertible cars go, the roof isn’t flashy, it’s more of a sliding canvas, but if simplicity appeals to you then you can enjoy all the fun of a Fiat 500 AND a convertible for a great price.

BMW 3-series convertible: Available from £2790 (Used)

One of the main advantage of purchasing the BMW 3-series convertible is the space. It is one of the soft top cars which offers seats for four people without compromising on size – for even more space you can opt for the BMW 6-series convertible car. You can also guarantee you will benefit from quality, high performance and longevity when you opt for the ever-popular BMW badge.

Audi A3 Cabriolet: Available from £6999 (used)

Audi has just brought out a new Audi A3 Convertible which we predict will be popular, but we still love the used version which offers a classy image and a vast selection of frugal petrol and diesel engines. The electric roof is highly impressive and can fold away in no less than 10 seconds. Although this model contains rear seats, they are fairly cramped and best left for luggage space when possible, after all, you don’t buy a convertible for space!

Porsche Boxster: Available from £7995 (used)

Last, but definitely not least, is the Porsche Boxster which has become a firm favourite with convertible car fans over the years. It’s fast, stylish and it is guaranteed to turn heads when you’re in it, thanks to its growly engine and sleek looks. Handling and steering are a real treat in the Boxster and used models come at surprisingly affordable prices considering the high quality of this sought after convertible car.
