The Most Iconic British Cars of the Last 60 Years?Back

Britain’s motor industry is having a field day after decades in the doldrums. The news that we are once again a net exporter of cars coincides with the Queen’s 60th jubilee and the London Olympics so it seems an auspicious time to remind ourselves of some of the truly iconic cars that were designed and built in Britain over the last 60 years.

Over the next 4 weeks, we’ll be looking back at some of the great cars from names such as Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Rover and even humble Austin as we celebrate the triumphs of British car building and design since the Queen ascended to the throne.

If you’d like to chip in, you can take the quick poll below, or for the chance to win an iPad, submit your own answer by clicking the competition icon – go to the homepage and click the competition icon before June 30th 2012 for the chance to win a spanking new iPad (which, lest we forget, was designed by the very English Sir Jonathan Ive!)
