"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because the after sales service is shocking and basic after sales customer service skills lack. Our sales advisor promised us certain aspects of the car we were unhappy with prior to purchase would be sorted but we are still waiting for him to contact us despite numerous phone calls, messages left and an attendance in person to point out phone calls had been made, 3 weeks after buying the car. Not even one phone call received to ask if we were happy with car or if we had any issues. Despite being chased for funds to ensure the car was off the forecourt by the end of the month (something which we obliged to do quickly even though we struggled with getting the funds together) it seems that once you have paid for the car the after sales service offered takes a complete nosedive. After sales paperwork was also not explained properly and despite signing up for a service plan agreement we are yet to receive any documentation to say it is in place. Also purchased an extended warranty plan which they advised would kick in at end of manufacturer warranty however again no paperwork received. I have to say of all the car dealers I have dealt with, this is probably the worst. "

"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because, late delivery no one returned my repeated phone calls asking where car was. Suspect I was lied to about why salesman not responding, first time they said he was on holiday, seconding time on same day said he was interviewing. Only got a response when asked to complain to someone in charge. When car was delivered to Bristol Street Motors in Bolton for us to collect it was dirty inside - looked like someone had been eating food inside and crumbs everywhere. Had to wait for 1 hour whilst car was properly cleaned. Loose door seal on one of the doors, emailed salesman and got no response. Called parts department and someone is hopefully going to mail 2 replacement clips so that we can fix it ourselves."

However, the after sales service by the sales person I dealt with - Rosie Newton - left a lot to be desired. The handover was done by another sales person - Jimmy Wills - who has been very helpful since for which I am very grateful. Rosie wasn't available on the day I collected the car but was told that as it was her sale she would contact me within the week to see how I was getting on. I am still waiting for this. Also there was a problem with the spare key - or lack of one. I phoned Rosie on numerous occasions and again, am still waiting for a reply. The receptionist told me that as I was calling on the 1st March Rosie was very busy with the new registration (not really my concern at this point and made me feel as if I was being a nuisance for interrupting). Nissan must be doing extremely well with new car sales as the sales person couldn't spare 5 minutes for a call to an existing customer. In the end I spoke to Jimmy the following week who was extremely helpful and most professional. The financial details entered by Rosie were incorrect which meant that I had to contact the financial services to get them amended. Also, the details on the Validation Certificate were incorrect - but Jimmy has sorted this out for me as well. I found Rosie most helpful and courteous during the sale but not so afterwards. I felt as if existing customers were far less important to her than potential or new customers - that is until I dealt with Jimmy. If asked I would say that Nissan Chesterfield was very helpful but to ask for Jimmy if considering purchasing a car."

"I feel that the after sales care has been poor and am still awaiting the cash for my car 3 weeks after agreeing a price with very little contact from anyone to explain why it is taking so long. I have had to continually chase the dealership and repeatedly receive a different excuse, when I have sent through what has been required there has been no acknowledgement or update on where I stand with receiving the funds, for this reason would not recommend using them, I feel I have just been dropped as soon as I had bought the car off them. It is poor customer service and find this aspect so dissapointing after my initial dealings with Iain lawrie (the manager)."

"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because They advertised 5 years 0 % finance but only offered 4. The car I liked and test drove when we got back to the showroom was told we couldn't have, didn't understand the explanation as to why...offered different car. Which I did accept, but with higher mileage. The owners manual was not the right one for our car and there was no equipment in the car for a flat tyre. I had to return to the showroom for both. The mileage shown on documentation shows 5 miles yet the car had done 2000 miles. I have been given a document Validation Certificate that makes no sense to me, even after explanation. I have not heard from the company since buying the car. I am considering contacting Nissan about my experience. "

"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because although the staff were very friendly, on initial viewing of the car, even though we had a pre arranged booking, the sales lady was 40 minutes late due to dealing with other customers. She then had no idea as to which car we were interested in, despite relaying all these details when booking the appointment. We were pressured (Around 5 phone calls) into picking the car up prior to month end (Presumably to meet sales targets) despite highlighting the fact we could not, due to work commitments. When we collected the car, the Sales lady was running an hour behind due to "The receptionist phoning in sick". The phone was constantly ringing throughout our time in the garage, of which no one answered the phone. There was a stone chip on the windscreen previously not noticed, which although has now been fixed, we had to procure the fixing of and to send them an invoice. I must say the Sales lady was very friendly and efficient and the car is great, however the overall running of the garage and appointment process is very lacking."

The diamond Brite application had not been done inside and out as promised. No certificate given for Diamond brite and kit missing that's in the brochure. Only because I have experience did I know the Diamond brite hadn't been applied, other customers beware. Constant visits and phone calls to the dealership, calls not returned. Lack of communication between staff. Arrangements made to rectify problems which prolonged and still ongoing. Problems with paperwork which involved calls while on holiday and another return to the dealership to sort out. Bumper of car was painted to rectify scratch but has had to go in again due to poor appearance, not cleaned properly before applying paint. Personally would never use again. Family member also having issues with service department. Overall experience very poor!! "
"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because on the day I collected the vehicle it was not as well presented as I would have hoped. I appreciate that it is a used vehicle but it was still new to me. The small scratches on the vehicle had not been attended to. The salesman had said they might be if they had time to do it. There was a ten day period from order to collection. On the day of collection a mechanical fault materialized, I returned the vehicle the same day and waited whilst the vehicle was repaired. The same evening the fault reappeared and the vehicle was again returned. To be fair the salesmen David Wood did make a huge effort to put things right providing me with a loan car and offering to collect the vehicle from my home address. However it took ten days to be repaired which seemed to me to be a very long time to source and fit a part, especially as it was a Nissan part through a Nissan main dealer. When I collected the vehicle for the second time it was cleaned and presented to a much better standard. The overall experience was underwhelming."

"I would recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield to friends and family because staff (David spencer) didn't approach us while we were browsing allowing us time to contemplate. When we approached him he was keen to assist us and arranged a test drive. The only downside was that when we went to puck the car up at the arranged time if 11am it was not ready and therefore we had to hang around waiting until just after 3pm until it was ready. This was very disappointing as we were not from the area as we had travelled up from derby and did not know the area and my car insurance was not valid on my car after 11am so we could not travel anywhere."

"I would not recommend Bristol Street Nissan Chesterfield because they have let me down ever since I collected the car, they have failed to call me back on several occasions regarding issues with both my purchase and the settlement of my finance. I am still waiting for issues to be sorted on my car which should have been sorted before I collected the car and I still have another 3 weeks to wait before my car will go into the service department for a number of days so that they can complete the faults. This is the 14th car that I have purchased from various dealerships and I have to say that this is the worst service that I have ever received. "
