"My experience at Bristol Street Renault Derby could have been better because the car I purchased had been used as a demonstrator and was is daily use by one of the managers at Derby. When I inspected the vehicle, prior to purchasing, I identified three areas where the paintwork was damaged; I was given an assurance that the paintwork would be rectified prior to me collecting the vehicle, however on collection two of the areas had been rectified to my total satisfaction but the third area i.e. stone chips on the bonnet, had not been rectified to me total satisfaction. (The sales executive had sent me video footage of all three areas after "rectification" however the video of the bonnet did not show that the small stone chips were still clearly visible due to reflection on the surface. As I live 100 miles from the Derby branch it wasn't practical to visit and to check the paint finish so it wasn't until I went to collect the vehicle that I saw that the stone chips were still clearly visible! I was disappointed by this and it soured what was otherwise a very pleasant handover. There was however another issue that must comment on. I was told the day before I went to collect the vehicle that the 2nd key was not available it having been damaged shortly after the car had arrived at Derby, (for some inexplicable reason a replacement hadn't been ordered), I have therefore had the inconvenience of subsequently having to take the car to a Renault dealership (closest being 20 miles from home) to have the 2nd key "coded" to the vehicle when it became available. So I feel justified in critising the Derby branch on three counts 1) The paintwork damage on the vehicle showed in my opinion that the car had been used carelessly the damage was obvious and should have been rectified just as soon as it was seen by the user! 2) Having given an assurance that the damage would be rectified then they should have ensured that it actually was! 3) A replacement key card should have been ordered immediately after the card was damaged and not delayed until the vehicle was actually sold! "
