BMW celebrates record sales in NovemberBack

The BMW brand has recently reported the best November in its history with a total of 115,124 vehicles being delivered to customers worldwide, with last month enjoying an increase in sales of 6.4 per cent.

Overall BMW deliveries have increased by 12.9 per cent from the start of the year with sales climbing from 1,108,710 in 2010, to 1,252,205 units.

The new BMW X3 is one of the key cars behind the company’s success, breaking the 100,000 unit mark for sales to the end of November. The BMW X3 has currently sold a total of 106,103 units and has grown at a rate of 157.3% in comparison to its previous year’s sales of a healthy 41,242. The BMW X1 has also enjoyed success, recording 115,185 deliveries since the start of the year.

Some of BMW’s success in the 4×4 category might be due to the increase in demand for cars which contain off-road capability. After motorists have witnessed a couple of very chilly, frozen winters, including the infamous big freeze of 2010, more people have been keen to invest in a 4×4 car to use during the winter months.

The BMW 5-series is another popular model from the BMW family and is favoured by business executives who are looking for a luxurious car to escort them on longer or short distances with the ease and finesse which BMW is famous for. BMW has reported that a total of 283,065 BMW 5 Series vehicles were delivered to customers between January and November 2011 which is an increase of 52.1 per cent.

The BMW 7 Series is the ultimate luxury car offered by BMW and offers a limousine-style standard of excellence to those occupants who are lucky enough to sit in one, or better still own one. It continues to perform well and BMW has reported that year to date it has achieved sales reaching 61,529 vehicles which is an increase of 6.8 per cent in comparison to 2010.
