Growth of new car market continues reports SMMTBack

The UK car market continues to go from strength to strength and is on track for its strongest year of sales since 2008, according to the latest figures from the Society of Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The SMMT has reported that UK registrations have increased by 11.3 per cent to 149,191 units in November and year-to-date figures currently stand at 1,921,052 units which is a 5.4 per cent increase in comparison to November 2011.

The latest figures also place the UK in second place as the largest new car market in Europe behind Germany, beating countries such as France, Italy and Spain. See below to find out what the top five current best cars of 2012 are.
