Introducing the new 2012 Smart FortwoBack

The Smart Fortwo has just received a face-lift which means that from spring of 2012, it will be sporting a striking new look.

The new model generation for 2012 combines responsibility to the environment with high ecological standards and the fun factor, three key elements which have made the Fortwo such a success for the past ten years.

The new Smart Fortwo promises to feature an upgraded exterior and a fresh leather/fabric mix in the interior, the perfect combination for those looking for a chic and quirky city car.

The new appearance of the Smart Fortwo is dynamic, featuring a larger radiator grille, striking front aprons and horizontally arranged LED daytime driving lights.

Smart boss, Dr Annette Winkler said: “The way in which the fortwo now displays the smart logo more prominently stands for the brand’s new self-confidence.” The smart fortwo has long become an icon that is a defining feature of urban traffic throughout the world.”

The Smart Fortwo also offers a choice of three new alloy wheels, with the Smart Fortwo Passion model coming with new 9-spoke alloy wheels and a further two additional alloy wheels fitted with wide tyres and featuring a 3-spoke and 3-twin-spoke design respectively complete the range.

There are several options of colour available with the new Smart Fortwo, to include a colour known as matt anthracite which has been introduced for the very first time. You can also obtain the Smart Fortwo BRABUS Xclusive model in white as an option if so desired.

Inside the car, there are plenty of additional changes to include a new high-quality interior package in crystal grey which consists of a leather/fabric combination for the seats and a faux leather/fabric mix for the door trims and instrument panel.

The five models of Smart Fortwo currently available – the Pure, Pulse, Passion, BRABUS and BRABUS Xclusive are all going to be retained and the fortwo will continue to offer its popular coupe and cabrio versions sporting six engine and motor variants.

One of the many advantages of buying and owning a Smart Fortwo car is that it offers extremely good fuel economy, combined with the fun factor. It’s easy to park too, taking up less road and parking space than any other car around.

Prices for the new Smart Fortwo begin at E10,275 for the Pure 45kW mhd model, and cars will be available in the UK from April 2012.
