Personalised number plates for ChristmasBack

If you’re looking for the perfect Christmas present for your loved one, why not opt for a personalised number plate.

DVLA Personalised Registrations is holding its sixth and final auction of 2011 on Wednesday 30th November, to ensure that those who wish to purchase a personalised number plate as a gift for Christmas can get it in time for the big day.

The auction is set to run over a period of three days and the number plate AL11 SON is taking a star role in the latest auction, making the perfect gift for all the Alison’s in the UK!

Successful bidders will be able to get through all the paperwork and have their personalised number plate signed sealed and delivered in time for December 25.

Statistics from the DVLA reveal that more than one third of all the personalised registrations they sell are purchased as gifts for people, so the agency is getting ready for the influx of sales this festive season, which will begin with the Auction held at Dormy House Hotel, Broadwat, Worcestershire.

Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said: “Our final auction of the year has again been timed to ensure our successful bidders will be able to turn around the relevant paperwork in time to place their registration on their chosen vehicle. The perfect Christmas surprise.

“As our figures show, a huge number of personalised registrations are bought as gifts, and what better personal gift for someone than their own private registration, one they’re able to keep for life!”

With Al11 SON billed as the most popular star registration, other registrations predicted to sell well include 14 Oat set with the highest reserve of £10,000, NE11 LLS, which has a reserve of £2,000 and JLS 13 which will prove popular with JLS fans across the country.

In total, DVLA’s forthcoming auction will comprise 1,500 registrations chosen to offer an eclectic mix to suit all tastes, styles and budgets.
