As you may already be aware the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, will be holding a Budget on 8 July. This will be the first Budget of the new Conservative Government, and his first without the Liberal Democrats.
We anticipate that many of the measures already announced in the Budget in March will be reconfirmed in the July Budget. However, there are likely to be new announcements around spending, taxation and business issues.
As always, the NFDA will be putting together a letter to the Chancellor ahead of his Budget calling for measures that will help support the UK franchised dealer sector. To this end, we would like to hear views from members of what they would like to see included in our letter. We will particularly focus on the tax system, including capital allowances and business taxes, as well as business rates. However, please feel free to include any fiscal item that you feel we should address.
