FCA AUTHORISATION WORKSHOP

As you will be aware, dealers will need to apply for FCA authorisation for consumer credit over the next few months. For many, the thought of dealing with the FCA and completing a sizeable application form is at best daunting, and at worst quite stressful.

Past experience of the FCA in the franchised dealer sector has not been good. The FCA rulebook is vast and at times appears very opaque when dealers try to understand and apply its rules. Compliance too has often proved formidable and expensive.

The NFDA, in respect to consumer credit, want to ensure members are ready to complete their application forms. We want to ensure you know what is required and have all the necessary information to hand. We also want to ‘bust’ some of the myths about the FCA.

To do this we are holding an application workshop:

DATE: Wednesday 22 October

VENUE:
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Birmingham NEC

TIMINGS:
1.45 pm registration and coffee

2.15 pm meeting starts

4.30 pm meeting closes

SPEAKERS: FCA representative

NFDA Compliance – Karen Wagstaffe

There will also be ample time to answer any questions you have about authorisation. The workshop is designed for dealer staff responsible for FCA compliance, such as F & I Managers, Accountants, Sales Managers, Dealer Principals and compliance experts.

If you would like to attend the workshop, please email: louisewoods@rmif.co.uk. Places are limited but we do believe this will be a valuable workshop for you attend.

Yours sincerely
