As you will be aware, the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) introduce new stricter requirements for keeping and using personal data.  To assist members in meeting the challenge of compliance, we have drawn up a questionnaire for you to send to your suppliers, manufacturers, DMS providers, insurers and finance houses, to ask them how they use your data.  We are also holding a workshop on 6 July in Warwick with a further workshop to be held in the Summer.  In addition, we have written to the SMMT to request what steps manufacturers are putting in place to ensure compliance in May 2018 and to ensure there is a co-ordinated industry approach.  If you require more information and to receive the questionnaire with template letter, please email

NFDA will be looking closely at the Repeal, Trade, Customs, and Immigration Bills, which are of primary interest for our sector. Please find a more detailed analysis of the Speech in today’s news.
