This week Ford announced its plans to launch a scrappage scheme which will cover all makes of cars and vans registered before the end of 2009, including all pre Euro 5 vehicles. The NFDA welcomes Fords decision and firmly believes that motorists who previously purchased high emission vehicles must not be penalised by the Clean Air Strategy. The NFDA will be running a new project to drive new talent into the retail motor sector, and encourage young people to see the franchised retail sector as a valuable and progressive career, specifically in the area of retail sales. As part of the project, Get My First Job (GMFJ), UK’s leading provider of emerging talent recruitment solutions, will identify suitable applicants from their database of circa 300,000 young people across the UK. Applicants will be directed to relevant local member’s website and, where available, to specific careers and employment opportunity pages. A reminder, if you receive any NFDA correspondence to your personal email address, and would like to continue doing so, please let us know in prep for GDPR. More details in today’s news.
