Welcome Note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear colleague,

This week saw the publication of the latest NFDA Consumer Attitude Survey Autumn 2017. This is the fourth issue of the survey which is now showing a number of interesting trends in consumer perceptions of franchised dealers and competitors in the aftersales sector. It was positive to see that franchised dealers continued to be seen by consumers as the safest place to service a car. Also, the majority of respondents viewed franchised dealers as professional, knowledgeable and reputable. You can download the full report here: http://bit.ly/2fYNtv1. More details in the news.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has now published its Clean Growth Strategy. Motorists willing to switch to low emission vehicles must be supported and it is particularly encouraging to see that new Government’s plans include £1 billion to promote the uptake of electric vehicles and other low emission vehicles.

Fix the recruitment crisis with NFDA – join the new NFDA project in partnership with ‘Get My First Job’ which aims to highlight the number of opportunities that automotive retailing offers to attract and retain young people to the sector.
