Welcome Note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear Colleague,

This week we held the NFDA used car cross industry forum – a very well attended and insightful meeting. In particular, we discussed: electric vehicles, with key inputs from the Energy Saving Trust, the car market, with a focus on diesel, mileage fraud and GDPR.

Official figures from the Office for National statistics showed that UK gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 0.4% in the third quarter of 2017 compared with 0.3% in each of this year’s first two quarters. It will be interesting to see if, under current circumstances, the Bank of England will raise interest rates next week.

We have published the Autumn 2017 edition of NFDA’s quarterly magazine The Voice. This issue includes an overview of Brexit and a summary of the main legislative changes organisations should be aware of to ensure that they comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation. The diesel debate, mileage fraud and the latest Dealer Attitude Survey are also covered. You can download a copy of The Voice from: http://ow.ly/OCEP30garUk.

AM Live 2017 is back on 9 November at the NEC, Birmingham. Come and see the NFDA team at The Hub for an update on the main projects we are working on for our members and discuss any issues that might be affecting your business. You can register for free to attend the event on: http://bit.ly/2i9dVGZ
