Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

Sue RobinsonDear colleague,

This week the Bank of England made important economic announcements. Interest rates were held at 0.25%, and, more surprisingly, the economic growth forecast for this year was raised from 1.4% to 2.0%. Please consult our economic report for further details in this week’s newsletter.

We are aware that a scrappage scheme for diesel cars is being discussed in a plan to lower emissions and improve air quality in the UK. As more details emerge, we will be engaging with manufacturers and Government to ensure the scheme will have the desired effect. We will keep you up to date.

Last week I attended the NADA Convention where I met with a number of dealers and NFDA’s counterparts from across the world. Discussions showed that the issues that dealers face with their manufacturers outside the UK are very similar to ours. Please find more information below.

We have created a new brief survey on the UK used car market. Your views will help us get a better insight into the current situation and future perspective of the market. Please click on the link to complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8Z9MFN2
