Welcome Note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear colleague,

On 1 April new Vehicle Excise Duty rates will come into effect. It is important that dealers understand the changes correctly. For instance, a delay in the delivery of a new vehicle could imply substantial cost increases. Please refer to the guidance document in the news for more information and contact us if you need any clarifications.

Following the NFDA’s Budget submission to the HM Treasury where the condition of UK roads was one of the focal points highlighted, it is positive to see that a recent study has confirmed the seriousness of the issue. We continue to urge the Government to invest in Britain’s transport infrastructure, please see the news for more details.

This week we held our new NFDA regional meeting in York. New car market, changes to the VED, lobbying issues and the new General Data Protection Regulation were the main topics of discussions. Please find dates and venues of the next meetings in the events section below. If you would like to attend, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk.

On 6 March, we will announce the results of the winter 2017 Dealer Attitude Survey, which will highlight some very interesting findings! We will keep you updated.

NFDA is your trade association, if you need any assistance or clarifications, or if you would like us to include anything specific in the newsletter, please contact us on the NFDA member helpline – 01788 538303.
