This week, we have been in Warrington, York and Bristol for the NFDA North, North East and South West regional meetings. New and used car market, GDPR and the dealer-manufacturer relationship were the main topics discussed.
The NFDA quarterly regional meetings take place throughout the year across the UK. They provide NFDA members with an ideal opportunity to discuss the most topical issues affecting their business and share views on the industry with fellow colleagues and the NFDA team. In turn, our members’ input remains crucial to ensure that NFDA’s lobbying and liaison activities with Government and manufacturers continue to accurately reflect the needs of the sector.
The relationship between dealers and their manufacturers attracted a lot of attention at this week’s meeting. In particular, retailers mentioned some of the challenges they are dealing with in this period of slight uncertainty as well as others that they are expecting for the times ahead. Also the current new and used car market, as well as other F&I, employment and business-related issues were examined.
