Do NFDA members who sell used cars have any issues with the DVLA?Back

As you may be aware, over the last few years the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has implemented a number of changes to its systems to improve the way new cars are registered and taxed online.

Following these changes, NFDA is now asking you, is there more that the DVLA could do to streamline the way car retailers operate within the used car market?

We have recently received feedback from a number car retailers and auction houses suggesting that the process of used cars entering the trade and, subsequently, being sold is not as seamless as it should be.

As a consequence, your trade body NFDA is calling for a meeting with the DVLA to discuss what else could be done for retailers to make it easier to buy, sell, change ownership, tax and register new keepers of used cars.

We would welcome your thoughts and observations, as well as any ideas to improve the way we deal with the DVLA in the used car market.

Please contact stephen.latham@rmif.co.uk or thomas.mclennan@rmif.co.uk as soon as possible to let us know your thoughts and what you would like NFDA to ask for from the DVLA.
