Small Business Saturday – 7 December 2013Back

SmallThe NFDA is encouraging members to get involved in the UK’s first Small Business Saturday, a grassroots campaign backed by politicians and private industry which gives small businesses a great chance to promote themselves and generate trade.

Small businesses up and down the country, and of all kinds, are taking part. They’re planning special deals for customers, showcase events, joint marketing with local media and much more. There are many ways for you, our members, to get involved and we are ready to support you in as many ways as we can.

The Prime Minster, the government and all the major political parties are endorsing the day and multiple government departments are actively working to make the campaign a success. We are in regular contact with the Small Business Saturday team and are in a position to provide members with ideas and press contacts as well as merchandise and promotional materials.

Here are just a few ways you can get involved:

  • Promote your business on the day itself with special deals, events and promotions.
  • Apply to be one of the ‘Small Business Saturday 100’.
  • Showcase your business at an event on the ‘Small Business Saturday Bus Tour’, which stops at multiple destinations across the UK.

Small Business Saturday is committed to raising the profile of small businesses such as yourselves and we encourage you to get involved in as many ways as you can.

If you would like more information, or would like to express an interest in getting involved, please contact Rebecca Gladstone on rebecca.gladstone@rmif.co.uk or 020 7307 3424.
