Sue Robinson’s welcome noteBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague

This week it was reported that car production rose 3.1% in 2013 to surpass 1.5 million units, the highest volume since 2007, and good news for Nissan who announced records for both car and van sales in the UK in 2013, increasing on the previous best by 11%. A total of 118,061 cars were registered in 2013, an increase of 11.5% on 2012 – itself a record year!

A reminder that on 1 April this year the Regulation of Consumer Credit will be transferred from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The deadline for registration is fast approaching and must be completed by 31 March 2014.

May I remind you that it is important that we receive your used car and aftersales standards declarations signed and returned to us. If you require a further copy please contact louisewoods@rmif.co.uk

In the forthcoming NFDA news we will include an update from this year’s NADA convention.
