Sue Robinson’s welcome noteBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague,

Today’s news contains the latest October NAMA auction data report. The report shows that during October, the average value of used cars sold at auction across the board increased 1.6% from £5,118 to £5,199.

This week also saw the Office of National Statistics publish their retail sales figures for October 2013. The amount spent in the retail industry in October increased by 2.5% compared with October 2012, but fell by 0.7% compared with September 2013.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to remind members of the need to take action with your applications for interim permission with the FCA. As you are probably aware there is a discount for applying by the end of this month! We know there are some concerns around the consumer credit license categories that dealers require, and we will be putting out more guidance as soon as we have more information.
