Van values to falter in late 2014 – CAPBack

CAPCAP Automotive is forecasting that van values will falter in late 2014.

Values are now almost 50% higher then they were in 2010 due to a shortage of stock in the market.

The shortfall was caused by successive years of falling new van sales after the financial crisis in 2008.

Since September 2010 the CAP Red Book valuation of a 3 year old short wheelbase Ford Transit, with 60,000 miles, has surged from £4,800 to £7,100 an increase of 48%.
