This week saw the Queen delivering her traditional Speech, it is positive to see the government’s commitment to ensuring economic growth and stability throughout the UK as well as its efforts to support modern transportation including the introduction of autonomous and electric vehicles.

Following recent figures released by the Office for National Statistics, which show that UK inflation rose by only 0.3% in April, this week’s EU referendum report is about the economy. How could it be influenced by the outcome of the referendum? Please see the full report within the news.

On Wednesday 25 May the NFDA is holding a roundtable discussion in Brussels, ‘Achieving a fairer EU internal market: how can the EU help address Unfair Trading Practices in the automotive sector’. We are hosting the event in order to foster constructive discussion between key UK and EU public and private stakeholders. We are delighted that UK Conservative MEP Daniel Dalton, a leading voice on current EU automotive policy issues, will share his views with us at the event.
