A week ago the UK voted to leave the EU and it is still difficult to predict what the consequences of this decision will be. There has not been any legal change yet and, although we would not be surprised to see uncertainty in the market in the short term, future implications will depend on the deal that will reshape the UK’s relationship with the EU.
The NFDA is working closely with our legal advisors, dealers and will also be working with the SMMT to determine the correct next steps, members will be kept updated. In the interim, if you do have any queries – legal or general – please do contact us.
The Office for National Statistics confirmed that the UK economy rose grew 0.4 per cent during the first three months of the year. Nevertheless, economists now expect the British economy to enter a slowdown following the decision to leave the EU.
This week, we met NFDA members in Belfast and discussed topical issues such as current market conditions, post-referendum situation and also our NFDA consumer attitude survey. The next round of regional dealer forums will take place in September, dates and venues can be found in today’s Updates and Events section. If you would like to attend please contact email@example.com.
The NFDA is also working in partnership with AM this year. Automotive Management Live is a one-day event, which will take place on 16 November 2016, at the Milton Keynes Arena. Registration is now open, please see today’s news for further details.
If you need assistance with any issues please remember the NFDA helpline 01788 538303.
