The NFDA, the CBI, the EEF, the IOD, Charity finance group and the IMI have all called on the Government to delay the apprenticeship levy. Considering the short term economic uncertainty that the country is likely to face, we feel that it might not be onerous for dealers to bear with this additional cost at the current time. We will continue to lobby the Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP and Government on the issue to safeguard NFDA members’ interests. We will keep updated.
Trading Standards have recently brought prosecutions against dealers for selling ex-rental vehicles without informing customers of the fact. This is a breach of the 2008 Consumer Protection Regulations (CPRs) and trading standards guidance.
