Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

sue-robinsonDear Colleague,

This week the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) published their latest European new passenger car registrations.  In August 2016, registrations showed a growth of 10.0%, and all the largest European markets continued to perform well. See this week’s news for more.

Following the publication of the NFDA Summer 2016 Dealer Attitude Survey last week, it shows that dealers seem very dissatisfied with their current profit return, although they are more optimistic about their future profit potential. We have analysed the scores further and concluded that it is vital that dealers and manufacturers collaborate to reverse any negative trend.

This week also saw the inaugural meeting of the new NFDA Marketing Working Group. We had excellent attendance from dealer groups. If you would like to be involved, please contact us.

With just 3 weeks to go, it’s all been glitz and glam at the NFDA camp this week as we get ready for this year’s NFDA Autumn Ball taking place on Saturday 8 October at the prestigious 5-star Grove Resort in Hertfordshire. After dinner entertainment will be provided by comedian, TV and radio personality Fred MacAulay. Our compere for the evening will be Mark Durden-Smith, Rugby commentator and TV presenter. Please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk or call 01788 538332 to reserve your tickets. We hope to see you all there for an evening of fun and entertainment!

Finally, the NFDA is your trade body, if you need any assistance or clarifications, but also if you would like anything specific to be included in future issues, please do contact the NFDA helpline on 01788 538303.
