This week the Chancellor announced some positive measures for the retail motor sector at the Autumn Statement. In particular, the Government’s commitment to improve UK’s roads and transport networks, the fuel duty freeze and a £390 million investment to support the development of low emission, connected and autonomous vehicles. Please find our comments and a summary of the Statement in the news.
We held our Autumn Roadshow in Warwick on Friday. Keynote speakers, including the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA), gave an insight into topical issues such as Brexit, FCA and automotive competition compliance, but also the role of digital marketing in the car buying process. I would like to thank those who attended, I hope to see you all next year.
I am also delighted to tell you that the Autumn issue of our quarterly magazine The Voice will be published next week. It will include updates on apprenticeship levy, vehicle excise duty, our Dealer and Consumer Attitude Surveys, as well as an interview with our new Chairman Mark Squires. You will receive a copy.
