Next Monday will see the publishing of the November SMMT registration figures, which will show whether the current political situation is having any effect on the current market place, positively or negatively. This week also saw the SMMT President urge the Government to develop its industrial strategy with key sectors and to focus on automotive priorities post-Brexit.
On Thursday, we held a meeting and dinner for our franchised dealers in Northern Ireland. It provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the current market situation, post-Brexit challenges, consumer legislation, and to hear from Alan Nolan, Society of the Irish Motor Industry, on the market and Brexit reaction in the South.
Next week, we will hold our Southern (6 December) and Midlands (7 December) meetings respectively in Cobham and Northampton. Please find more information below.
We have also included a few insights in today’s newsletter. You will find details on the possible implications of Brexit and what risks and opportunities our sector may face. Also, guidance from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on compliance which is vital to our sector. If you would like to receive a copy of the presentations, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
