Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear Colleague,

The EU and UK Government announced this week that they have agreed a deal on the terms of the Brexit transition period which will run from 29 March 2019 to December 2020.  The NFDA will continue to work with the Government to ensure that trade with the EU remains as seamless and frictionless as possible post-Brexit.

Following the recent ASA ruling against Glyn Hopkin in respect of advertising vehicles without declaring they had previously been used for business purposes, the NFDA have produced a briefing document for members – see this week’s news.  We have written to the ASA to challenge their ruling and await their response.

Many of our dealer members will be at the NADA convention this week in the USA.  The NFDA is attending and has a number of meetings scheduled with key officials from NADA and also with our counterparts in Australia, Canada, India and China.  A full report of our discussions will be included in next week’s NFDA news.

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any assistance, please contact us on the member helpline 01788 538303.
