Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague,

Today’s news contains the recent press release from the NFDA urging government to do more to protect motorists from unlicensed car mechanics. We are calling for greater transparency of the car servicing and repair industry to protect the growing number of motorists that are falling foul of unscrupulous garages. This has been covered by a large number of press and we are currently feeding it into regional press/media.

This week, the Financial Conduct Authority has published their confirmed Market Study Report on General Insurance Add-ons. We are currently studying their findings and have made contact with the FCA to confirm our interest in participating in the up and coming working groups, which will look at remedies mentioned in the report. More to follow in next week’s news.

Finally, following on from the success of the Driving Digital events in 2013, the NFDA are pleased to announce that our next event will be taking place on 6 November 2014 at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club. Details to follow soon.
