Dear Colleagues

The NAMA (NFDA’s sister association) car and LCV data reports have been published this week. The car report shows that during September, the average month-to-month value of used cars sold at auction across the board increased by 2.1% from £5,512 to £5,995. Whilst in the LCV sector the report shows that the average values of used LCV’s at auction across the board increased by 0.8% from £4,645 to £4,967. For a full copy of the data reports please contact louisewoods@rmif.co.uk

This week’s news brings you a long awaited udpate from the DVLA on cherished number transfers, and also some positive news on the Consumer Rights Bill where our proposed amendment, drafted alongside the SMMT, was debated in the House of Lords this week – more details below.

Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the NFDA Autumn Ball at the weekend. The event was a great success and I am pleased to say that we raised £1750 for BEN, the automotive charity. Congratulations to all our award winners on the night. A date for next year’s NFDA Autumn Ball will be announced shortly.
