Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague,

This week we attended the FCA workshop on GAP insurance. The FCA are currently looking for proposed remedies for the GAP market following the FCA study earlier this year where findings showed the market wasn’t working as competitively as possible. On another note, for those of you who are in the process of completing your applications for consumer credit, please remember the NFDA are here to advise and guide you.

The European New Passenger Car Registrations for October were published this week. Registrations increased (+6.5%) from a year earlier to 1,072,837 units sold, marking the fourteenth consecutive month of growth.

This week’s news also contains concerning research from NFDA Trusted Dealers who found that more than half (62%) of drivers are unaware of the legal minimum tyre tread depth and around one in 10 (12%) haven’t checked their tyres in the last year. Please see below for more details.
