This week we published the results from our winter 2015 NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey. We received a response rate of 38% of car dealers from 28 participating dealer networks taking part. Dealers reported a slight change in their relationships with manufacturers with a score of 6.9, – 0.2 points lower than the summer 2014 survey. A number of manufacturers have contacted us since the publication of the results, – in particular Mercedes, Mazda. Renault and Citroen, and will be utilizing the survey results in their meetings and communications with their dealer networks. If you did not receive a copy of the survey results please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
February new car and commercial vehicle sales figures were also released this week. It is extremely positive to see the new car market has now achieved 36 consecutive months of growth – increasing 12.0% over the period, and we anticipate the market to continue to grow, and have strong expectations ahead of next month’s 15-plate change. February also marked the tenth consecutive month of growth in the commercial vehicle market – up 19.5%.
Finally, I want to emphasise the NFDA is your association and lobby on your behalf. If there are issues that affect your business and you feel need addressing, please contact us. We are there to support, and represent you to government, manufacturers and all stakeholders.
