This week saw the start of the Spring round of NFDA Regional meetings. Key areas for discussion included the market, consumer credit and of course the issue of manufacturer/dealer relationships and targets. Dealers expressed a ‘positive feel’ for the beginning of 2015. However, this was tempered with concern that some manufacturers are being aggressive with their aspirations for market share and significant showroom refurbishments.
As a follow up today’s news contains some highlights from the recent NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey showing the responses on manufacturer targets, dealer profitability, dealer standards and the return on investment. This week also saw the SMMT launch a nationwide campaign to set records straight about the facts of diesel cars and to achieve an overall image change of diesel engines.
