Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague,

NFDA today has launched ‘NFDA Compliance’ which is a major step forward in assisting members as we see Consumer Credit Regulations move to the Financial Conduct Authority on 1 April this year. Our suite of resources to support members will ensure they are compliant with the new regime. See today’s top story for more information.

I have just returned from the NADA convention in the USA where over 22,000 dealers, trade associations and affiliates attended from all over the globe. The workshops I attended provided a good insight into the issues that dealers all over the world have to face. I met with a number of my counterparts from India, Australia, America, Brazil and across Europe where we discussed a number of common topics about the automotive industry. A full report will appear in next week’s news.

Also in today’s issue is an update on the Consumer Bill of Rights.

Finally, we are approaching our next round of NFDA Regional Dealer Forums being held during March. These meetings are a good way to meet like-minded dealers representing a range of franchises and size of business. If you would like to take part please contact louisewoods@rmif.co.uk.
