Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleagues,

The new regulations set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to the way in which Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) insurance is sold to consumers is due to come into force next week on 1 September. Any car sold with GAP that is delivered on or thereafter this date, and has been ordered prior to 1 September, will be subject to the new rules. Please see today’s news for more details.

A reminder on MOT contingency testing – the code for this Saturday 29 August 2015 will last all Bank Holiday weekend and will be valid until the end of Bank Holiday Monday 31 August 2015. The DVSA is also extending the temporary publication of contingency testing (CT) codes on the GOV.UK website up until Friday 4 September 2015 and they will continue to be published.

Finally, the NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey Summer 2015 results are currently being analysed. We have had a great response rate across all dealer networks for this survey and gives us a strong foundation for discussions with manufacturers. We will be releasing the results on Monday 7 September.

Wishing you all an enjoyable bank holiday weekend!
