Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

SueRobinson2Dear Colleague,

This week, I attended the Labour party conference in Brighton. It was a busy and interesting event! There will be a full update on all party conferences in next week’s news after the Conservative conference in Manchester next week.

The NFDA’s retained competition lawyers TLT Solicitors, have produced a guidance document to assist members in light of the Volkswagen emissions scandal. If you would like to receive the document please email louise.woods@rmif.co.uk.

As members will be aware the new Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) came into effect this week. We have included in this week’s newsletter a document outlining the ‘terms and conditions of sale for servicing, repairs and supply of parts’. NFDA members have access to the National Conciliation Service (NCS), a certified, independent, automotive ADR provider that offers dispute resolution services to businesses and customers when disputes cannot be resolved through a business’ internal processes. Please contact 01788 538317 should a dispute arise.

The automotive industry event of the year is fast approaching! Next week we will be hosting the 2015 NFDA Autumn Ball at the Grove Resort, Hertfordshire. There are still a few tickets remaining so DON’T MISS OUT! We hope to see you there!
