Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

sue-robinsonDear Colleagues,

The Chancellor delivered his 2016 Budget Statement this week which made clear the government’s intentions to ensure the UK economy remains on track. The NFDA has commented on the announcements which included changes to corporation tax and business rates, all of which will encourage long term investment and help businesses. Please see today’s news for a full summary.

With the date of the EU referendum announced for the 23 June, the NFDA has already been contacted by various MPs and media for our industries views. In light of this, we have put together a short snapshot survey in this week’s news and would be grateful if you could please respond.

Also this week, ACEA published their European Passenger Car Registrations for February. It is extremely positive to see that registrations were up 14.1% – marking the 30th consecutive month of growth. Full details in this week’s news.

Finally, this week’s MILS HR Update covers ‘’The Modern Slavery Act 2015’. A reminder that as part of your NFDA membership, you have access to our legal helpline for any issues relating to HR and queries into changes in legislation. Please call our helpline on 01788 538303.
