Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear Colleague,

Ahead of next week’s Autumn Budget 2017, NFDA called on the Government to further support the uptake of electric vehicles and freeze fuel duty. Uncertainty has affected consumer confidence over the past months and it is imperative that Government ensures that economic policy supports business and consumer spending in the forthcoming Budget. Please see more details below.

The new NFDA project in partnership with ‘Get My First Job’ is taking shape. The initiative aims to highlight the number of exciting and rewarding career opportunities that automotive retailing offers to attract young people to the sector. To find out more about this, click on the orange circle on the right. Many of you have already joined us, to participate, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk.

The final round of this year’s NFDA regional meetings will be held in December. General data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Brexit and, as usual, the relationship between retailers and manufacturers will be at the top of our agenda. Please find more details in the event section below and ring us on 01788 538303 if you would like to attend.

The Motor Trader Summit will be taking place next Tuesday 21 November 2017 at the Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham. NFDA will be discussing GDPR and going through the crucial steps for compliance. This one-day event is free for all car retailers to attend and you can still register here:https://www.motortrader.com/Summit2017

NFDA is your trade association: if you need any assistance, please pick up the phone and ring our member helpline on 01788 538303.
