Welcome note from Sue RobinsonBack

Dear Colleague,

At the beginning of February NFDA will launch Drive My Career. Drive My Career is a unique new careers portal powered by NFDA and aimed at attracting young people into automotive retailing sector.  It will highlight the wide range of employment opportunities available in the industry. Through Drive My Career, young candidates will be redirected to your individual career portal where they will be able to apply for the roles most suited to their skills and interests. The website will showcase a number of jobs available as well as highlighting  success stories of those who already work in the industry. Please find more details below and contact us on 01788 538 303 to join this initiative.

This week, Nick Boles MP visited Donalds Mazda part of First Hamblin Group in Stamford. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for Nick to obtain a better understanding of how dealerships are run, the employment and development opportunities available in the sector as well as the changes in consumer buying habits seen over the past years and how car retailers are adapting to these. If you would like to take part in the NFDA Parliamentary Engagement Programme, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk

The deadline for GDPR compliance is fast approaching and it is imperative that franchised retailers have an effective compliance strategy in pace. We would encourage you to contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk as soon as possible if you would like to attend the next NFDA workshop taking place on Friday 9 March at the Warwick Hilton.

As you may know, new car labels are in the process of being reviewed. NFDA has been asked to assist in analysing the potential cost implications that any change could have for dealers.  We would really appreciate your assistance. Please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk to give us your views.

Diary Dates:

  • Driving Digital will be held on Thursday 8 February at the Birmingham Rep
  • NFDA Spring Ball will be back on Saturday 21 April 2018 at the Grove Resort, Hertfordshire.

If you would like to attend, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk or call 01788 538332.

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any help or require any legal assistance, please ring our member helpline on 01788 538 303.
