Following the successful launch of its Electric Roadshow earlier this year, NFDA Trusted Dealers is again partnering with national consumer advice organisation, the Energy Saving Trust, in an ongoing national campaign to increase awareness among UK car buyers about the changing technology in the UK car market, including the benefits of Electric Vehicles.
The event, which take place at Lookers Volkswagen in London on Thursday 12 October (7pm), will see Neil Addley, Managing Director of Trusted Dealers, chair a roundtable of experts, including Andrew Benfield, Group Director of Transport at the Energy Saving Trust and Tim Rose, Editor of industry magazine AM. The panellists will dispel common myths about electric vehicles and field questions from the audience on the future of ultra low emissions vehicles.
The roundtable has been timed to coincide with the introduction of the new toxicity charge – the T-charge – which will be introduced in London next month (October). Drivers of older diesel cars in the capital will be forced to pay £10 to enter the city of centre, on top of the £11.50 congestion charge. Additional parking charges are also being imposed by a number of London boroughs.
